Nothing like family - our church family

What an amazing evening we had last night with our church family - definitely not because of the cold, windy weather, but rather because of the love, support and encouragement we experience each time we gather with our church family. We spent time talking, catching up, laughing, crying, and praying together - all the while trying to stay warm (in August!!).
We are so blessed.

For those of you from church that were not able to make it last night, here are some words of love and thanks that we shared last night. These words go out to you as well. It's not good-bye - just see you later...maybe at the harvest festival ;).
Thank you for all your love, prayers, financial support. For encouraging us and showing interest in Oaks of Righteousness. For hosting us for meals, encouraging our children, blessing us with amazing items for our children to take on the long road trip ahead, helping us with last minute dental needs, taking care of our financial support, offering to help pack or whatever was needed, and the list could go on and on. I’ve said many times, and told many people, that I truly believe that if it wasn’t for this church and these people here tonight, I don’t think we’d be going on this mission. Not only have you made it financially possible for us to go, but as a congregation, we’ve encouraged and challenged one another to be obedient to God, and to serve even if it’s way outside of our comfort zone. We’ve come through many things as a church, and grown together as family, in really only three short years.
This is what makes it so hard to go…, and yet this is what prods us on – knowing that we not only go with God, as He is all we need, but that He’s also blessed us with a church family that stands behind us and goes with us spiritually. It’s hard to put into words how much that means to us and how much we need that.
To those of you journeying with us, but remaining in Southern Manitoba, please…treasure one another. With each Sunday this summer, we’ve appreciated more and more the privilege and blessing it has been to be in church and fellowship with friends – it’s unfortunate that you often only truly appreciate something when you’re asked to give it up. So encourage each other on our behalf. Encourage your church leadership. Press on for the Kingdom. Don’t take for granted what we have here. It is so special and so much to be desired for so many people in this world. God will bless you for it.
Thank you again.
We love you all and will daily be praying for you.
