Written by Rose - January 24th

Back in Fall 2024, Oaks of Righteousness was asked to be part of a local Missions Conference at the end of January 2025. Although, at the time, that seemed in the distant future, the weekend has now come. The conference is being hosted January 23rd - 25th at the Burwalde Church in Campo 106 and is put on the Ministeral Esperanza This is the first year that this conference is being put on, so it's new not only for us, but for everyone in the area. Those hosting the conference invited many different mission organizations to come and represent their ministry; some coming as far away as Paraguay. Each organization was asked to set-up a small booth at the conference and have a short video prepared to share.

The conference has been very encouraging. It's not only given exposure to Oaks of Righteousness, but we're learned a lot as a ministry in the process - some learning has come in the form of preparing for the conference, while other learning has come in seeing and hearing from organizations at the conference and attending some very helpful workshops. Along with several workshops each day, singing, great food and fellowship, the conference has hosted guest speakers twice daily on Thursday and Friday, and once on Saturday morning. Nathan was asked to give the message Thursday evening. His message, Why Missions, challenged people to reflect on how they are living out God's command (not suggestion) of the great commission. Although Thursday had it's challenges personally, as we felt many forms of spiritual warfare, it reaffirmed all the more that we were serving where Satan didn't want us - that's always very encouraging!

Please continue to pray for our ministry as we continue to participate in the conference today and tomorrow - that we represent Christ well and that He alone is glorified.
