Growing in Righteousness

Christ is my firm foundation, the Rock on which I stand...

(Psalm 61:2, Psalm 62:6, Matthew 7:24, 1 Corinthians 3:11).

The ministry of Oaks of Righteousness is built on no other foundation but Jesus Christ. As the lyrics from the song 'Firm Foundation' shares; there is joy in chaos, peace that makes no sense. We are not held by our own strength, because our life is built on Jesus Christ. He has never let us down, He is faithful in every season. He will never fail us.

It is with Christ as our foundation that as individuals and as a ministry we are growing in righteousness. Another area of growth has been the number of students and staff at Oaks of Righteousness. As a school, we have reached our limit for enrollment. Due to a lack of space, we have a growing waiting list. Families are waiting for the opportunity for their children to attend school and so we see the need to continue to grow this ministry. With that comes the need for a larger building and property.

Lord willing, early December, Oaks of Righteousness will be at their new property.

For those who hadn't heard, a down payment has been made on a property that will become the new home to the Oaks of Righteousness Ministry.

Staff, students, families and the board of Oaks of Righteousness are excited about this property. A property where we will have the opportunity to grow the school and ministry. The growing waiting list of students will become the growing enrollment at Oaks of Righteousness.

There will be no shortage of planning & projects in the coming months. Please pray for wisdom, direction, cooperation, unity, volunteers, financial support...etc. as we strive to grow the ministry while growing in righteousness.

From a one room school house (24' x 30') with no running water, a few light bulbs, one plugin, and an outhouse, God has blessed the ministry and brought about this opportunity to grow!

The shop on the new property will be converted into a school:

Classrooms, two bathrooms, a kitchen/dining space, multi purpose room, and an office/teacher prep room are hoped to be built in the months to come.

In addition to the shop that will be converted into a school, there are two other buildings that are on the property. These buildings, initially will be used for storage. In the future, it is our hope that the additional buildings might be used for life skills classrooms. It is a dream that students might be able to learn basic life skills, like woodworking/construction skills, welding, and mechanics. Having a kitchen at this property, there may also be the opportunity to teach students how to cook, bake and prepare food.

We know that as long as Christ is our foundation, He will provide all that we need. Time after time, we have seen how God has provided for this ministry. When there is a need, He provides. It is our prayer that as we grow physically as a ministry that we also grow spiritually; growing in righteousness.
